I can't see a connection between the rate hike and the banking crisis frankly. The banking crisis is a US problem caused by poor regulatory oversight. Trump demanded the removal of banking restrictions and this is the result. The Europeans were not so inclined so their system is stronger. Swiss government pledged to back liquidity "if necessary", obviously they don't think it ...more
