High Tide

Just opened their 9th store. Even though the ALGC has a freeze on new licenses, they're opening the stores to sell accessories and lifestyle products. Wonder if that would work for us? Start pushing that Inner Spirit swag out. I mean, head shops made money before pot was legal, why not open these locations and get some foot traffic in prep for the freeze to lift? I get that it'll be a burden to overhead costs not having actual cannabis there. But seems good for business to get people familiar with the locations and name no?

It’s  an option that Spiritleaf franchisees have been given by HQ but have been encouraged to instead stay closed. The reason being that head shops usually have much lower overhead because they are in low cost locations.  Spiritleafs strategy was to have high profile locations which cost a lot of money. Also the staffing is higher than head shops (unless you cut down to a skeleton crew) ...more

im pretty sure the last time i was on their website i read that that spiritleaf already had a store or two operating in this manner. spirit leaf issue is not really in execution, but rather that almost all of their store news has been relegated to alberta and sakatchewan. nothing against these provinces, as they are have favorable regulatory environment, but the fact remains that for inner spirit ...more

You are correct that Spiritleaf needs a couple more high profile locations in big cities.  They already have the the real estate lined up. But they won’t announce it until licensing is in the bag.  Spiritleaf will have locations in these cities. It’s just a matter of time.
