S&P may upgrade ratings

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Standard & Poor's said Thursday that it may upgrade the ratings of Interpublic Group of Companies Inc.    S& B hasa B+ corporate credit rating on the advertising company. "The CreditWatch listing reflects continued improvement in operating performance in the first quarter of 2010, as well as recent actions the company has taken to improve its liquidity position and reduce debt balances through the cash tender for its convertible preferred stock," said Heather Goodchild, an S&P credit analyst, in a statement.
