Fairholme Fund

Interesting that once again III doesn't represent sufficient value to be recorded in Fairholme's 13F filing.  Would be interesting to know exactly how many shares Berkowitz still owns. Doesn't seem to have participated in any of the "raises" ...aka dilutions. Maybe he should broker the sale of his stake to NCM......

Hi Temaire, it's possible that I am misinterpreting your post but, for the record, Berkowitz does not directly own any III shares - they are held by three funds administered by Fairholme. But I agree that Berkowitz is the decision maker. Fairholme did participate in the 2021 raise but not 2022. Who knows why - it is true that mining operating results were not great in 2022, but there was a ...more

Couldn't agree more on RC being the prized gift for shareholders.  That Fairholme/Berkowitz chose not to participate in '22 is frankly worrisome.  Can only imagine he has very good information on everything going on within the company and the cost to his Fund would have been negligible to stay in. Here's hoping for a better year.
