Technology has changed and the SEC Comm got to step it up and control these crooks.
First off, borrowed stock to short should be banned forever.
What selling short on borrowed shares does is inflate the float, adding "uncountable fantasy shares" being placed in the market which distorts the otherwise actual number of the float. The shorters at at an advantage because they do not have their own skin in the trade and they are not investing in anything.
Shorters are using the market to play a purely trading game. They do not care about the company, its future or anything about the investing world. All they do is try to extract money from the system. The market is where the money is and they want to take some anyway they can.
Some regulation needs to happen to stop the shorts or the entire market will be destroyed and maybe sooner then we know. We can see this all through the MJ/ CBD industry, the cryptocurrency markets, etc. When the volitity get out of control ---everyone will get out of an unpredictable, unstable and increasingly crooked market.
We saw the crooks take the world financial market with crooked mortage bundles in 2008. Yes the crooks destroyed the world's financial markets. This is the power of a few crooked people who can destroy everyone else's wealth/ pensions and jobs.
Noone can deny that it just happened and , because markets are speeding up expontentially, we could be in for another rape. pillage and plunder again sooner then we know ---if somethingis not done by those who ae supposed to be in charge??????
