Drilling has Started
Drilling has StartedThe first hole was spudded on Sunday and the drilling began in the afternoon. It is the first hole of the grid drill program testing the sweet spot. Apparently each hole will take anywhere from 4 to 7 days to drill, depending on what they encounter at depth. The longer per hole, generally the better as it usually means they're encountering a lot of faulting.
Although holes 45 and 46 were a disappointment from a uranium content perspective, they apparently shed some light on geology. Most deposits in the basin find most of their uranium in "northerly directed" structures that intersect the corridor. Holes 45 and 46 have apparently uncovered on of these structures. Now that the geology is better understood, I believe they will start pulling up some interesting holes, as I'm sure both JNR and IUC want to start drawing some attention early to their 15,000 metre drill program.
I picked up another 55,000 today as I believe $2.00 in September is very plausibe. JMHO.
