Athabasca Focus:

I am encouraged by the increased activity in the Athabasca region.

The bidding war over Hathor by Cameco and Rio Tinto confirms the

commitment of the majors to the basin.  Recently JNR's partner in

crime Denison, announced the sale of US assets by stating DNN

wanted to concentrate on Canadian projects. Fission Energy just

acquired Pitchstone Exploration's 13 Athabasca properties.

The beating JNR has taken since the meltdown in Japan is ugly.

However, there is reason to be positive at this bargain basement

shareprice. It will not take much for the tide to rise on the Ur sector,

and JNR is in prime territory.

Gen, A lot of speculation on more acquistitions in the Athabasca Basin. UEX is up 22% today. Similar to JNR. UEX has 18 properties in the region, 5 employees, and no production. Everyone agrees Cameco will likely try to acquire other assets in Athabasca in attempt to protect itself from being outbid and outmanuvered like Rio did with Hathor.
