everyone waiting for management to speak, I expect they will reject the offer, and it will be fended off, improved, or another buyer will pop up.

Management should have declared a position from the outset. I am sure they are speaking to others to see if the price can be moved up, perhaps negotiating with Anglo for an increased price for their support, but by now something should have been said by management.
