EGA has been testing a suite of apps and online support at my school since June 2016 that focus on skill development, rather than statistical analysis of grammatical structures and then developing probablity strategies for test takers. The scams in China regarding guaranteed results were basically just regular IELTS programs that charged hide upfront fees, sometimes 9-10,000 bucks, guaranteeing that they will continue to allow you to attend classes until you reach your target score.
