The 25% position in LNV held by the underwriters of the balance of the AAV deal are in at $4.45 a share. They make a probable quick return due to their low and recent entry into the issue. The perception that LNV is in play has been ongoing since last fall. Again I ask: Why no takers at $80 k per flowing boe let alone $60k per flowing boe? AAV sold for under $35k per flowing boe. Suitors in the patch are in a buyers market. There is over 200,000 boe/d for sale in the patch currently amid close to $103 WTI. Why is that? Why is M&A so constrained? It's not like a wave of M&A is imminent and it seems clear that all these dividend players do not need production, drilling inventory and reserves to grow let alone sustain their model. Your analysis simply tells us the parts are worth more than the whole.
