RE: Will Feds War on Coal Thwart US Energy Indepen The EPA has gone too far and a new administration is needed. The US not only needs a long term energy policy but needs one that is rational: Natural gas should be used for vehicles (we may have less than 100 years of natural gas, vehicles cannot burn coal and naturnal gas burns clean and much cleaner than gasoline). Use clean coal technology for electrical grids and manufactufacturing (we have hundreds of years of coal left). Not only would such a policy be greener, but it would maximize the long tem supply of these rescources, hence lower energy prices, and hence stimulate our economy.
