Are options having an effect on price?

I wish had thought to call in on this during the CC, and I don't know if management can do anything about it, but part of me thinks that the ability to sell options on $2 stocks seems to be wrong, because when the company is between reports, volume is very low, and I think that the options sellers can range-bind the stock so that the options expire worthless.
