Where are the insider buys?

There's something I don't understand.   Why do they issue all these PRs with a positive spin such as the recent one about coal prices firming BEFORE the insiders have bought more stock?  This leads me to wonder if there will be any insider buys.   If they were going to buy, you'd think they'd do it now in the 1.80s before things get better.   It makes me wonder if management really expects the growth story they keep trying to sell.

leanguy:  You answer your own question, ' a positive spin'...In hindsight I don't believe a number of PR's this company released:  1) August 2011-a new auditor soon; 2) the new website-soon; 3)   4) April 2012-open new mines in IM; 4)  May  2012 - share buyback program and others.  In each of these there was the 'possibly', though ...more

Sharpei, how jaded you have become...   ;-).  You used to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I would hope they have a policy that prohibits its insiders from buying prior to earnings release for the 3rd quarter that just ended >

'Jaded' - 'made cynical by experience', the Merriman-Webster dictionary.... That says it all, Leanguy...Two years of being jerked around by Dickson Lee has changed the once glowing impression I once had of him.  When Dennis Bracy was unceremoniously dumped from the board I spoke quite openly of my confidence that Dennis spoke honestly when he published his letter. Now Dickson ...more

LLEN's third quarter ends on Oct 31, so their window is open for another week or two.

Yes right, got my months miscounted...

I just wished Dennis Bracy had sopken out during his term being the director of the Company. Unfortunately this is not the case and I had not seem any contribution from him either. Dickson Lee should consider to step down from the post of CEO.  I never like a company having an executive director holding both positions as Chairman and CEO.  It's just too much power and too ...more

The answer is very simple! ... to attract some buyers and let insiders sell their holding!    They did it ... in order to allow MCJ to sell his  stake (My opinion) ... and they now did it ... to allow Robinson to do the same!      Wha a Fraud-LLEN-t company !
