RE:Thanks Far for the links...DC & All,
This LLEN trip reminds me of a roadtrip out west I took with my Grandpa when I was a kid. It was full of adventure, beautiful scenery and met some very interesting folks along the way.  I remember some road signs along the way that were very cool.  One in particular said something like...Don't miss THE THING ! A freak of Nature??? 20 miles ahead!  Well, to a 10 year old boy this got my complete attention to say the least!  I pleaded with my Grandpa to stop there so we could see THE THING! But Grandpa knew that it was just a tourist trap and to be honest his budget for the trip was pretty much limited. We would stop at road side rest stops or off the highway to cook our meals and stretch our legs and such.  Anyway it was a memorable trip. I could go on and on with some memories of that trip.  But as we were nearing our destination (The Royal Gorge) in Colorado we had one last big hill to climb in Grandpa's ole Chevy.  It was a steep one and we were kinda running low on gas.  But according to a sign we past earlier their was a gas station up ahead.  I could tell Grandpa was nervous about the gas situation and making it up that last big steep hill. But we had the faith that we could make it and by golly we did!  We made it up the mountain, got our gas and drove on to see the Royal Gorge.  It was a sight to behold!  Sometimes life can be that way.  Stay the course, have a little faith and maybe, just maybe things will all work out. Of course it is always a good idea to carry a little extra gas just in case.
