DC, we are back to the top of the channel.. You and I both know how many times we have done this.  I hoping for you here whether I am in or not, but (ahh, the infamous, "but") I am very concerned about (and for once it is not specifically Llen) the drop off in electrical usage as the government stops credit growth and slows the economy.  Too much infrastructure building that is ...more

Bar - I had read somewhere not long ago that the government is moving manufacturing to the west/southwest.  To do so would require corresponding new power plants.  Perhaps most of the large number of power plants being built will be in these areas.  Perhaps L and L has a strategy to conform to this move and has a plan to keep the lights bright.

I attribute most of this move not to any macro coal issues or even local coal issues, but the fact that KPMG will be auditing the company.  Most of this move down was fraud rumor related and if the company is submitting their books to a Big Four accounting firm, that roadblock to unlocking value will be gone.

The new Chinese PMI numbers just came out and they were somewhat dismal.  The macro winds are blowing against you and as we discussed endlessly we all knew we were runing out of time.  Maybe my isolation emphasis will carry the day, but I'm very worried here.  Especially since they do really seem to finally be doing a better job.  Well, momma never said this was gonna be ...more
