I don't think its necessarily true that PBN will underperform due to this announcement. PMG went up from $26 to $29 on large volume when it was announced the PBG was spinning its ownership out.

With the US markets closed, there may not have been enough volume today for PBN to absorb the arbitrage trading. Will be interesting to see how it performs later this week.
