I did a bit of number-crunching on today's trading:
Total # of trades: 1027
Total # with Canaccord on the sell side: 581
Of those 581 Canaccord sells:
# of 100 share trades: 50
# of 200 share trades: 52
# of 300 share trades: 472
# of other quantities: 7
Read whatever you like into those numbers, but I find it difficult to believe that all of those small trades were from retail clients. There was no reason for it either. Quite often, I saw 10,000+ shares on the bid and Canaccord was selling into it 300 shares at a time.
