Bottom line mart has to merge in order for us to grow and it will get done sooner or later.IMO

Well if what your saying is true, the company sure doesnt make it sound like that is a big priority. Mabey it is and im just un aware. I still feel for now its about the Shell deal. We need more oil flowing to increase revenues and profits, and to combat oil theft.  imo

What is exciting about a merger IMO that could drive the price is merging with an indigenous company so we can bid on new fields in the near future.  I too haven't heard as many facts as I have speculation, but to me this makes the most sense.  How soon or how concrete...  I quit trying to guess when things are going to happen with MMT a long time ago.  You know the ...more

Bobby 1231, (and others) thank you for your comments on the merger, but  with a merger, I have never been able to reconcile the following; a) How will Mart be able to maintain control if we have less than 50% of the ownership? b) how will MMT ensue that dividends are secure ? c) how will corporate governance  maintained? will or profits be stolen from us?   Thank you in advace for ...more

Many companies are "controlled by management teams with a 5% or 10% stake in the company, investors, especially institutional, are paying to have management teams run these companies so as long as MMT mgt do a good job, not a problem. The new Board would oversee the dividend policy but it would not be intheir best interests to curtail the dividend except for valid financial reasons. The ...more
