Good post, I agree with you 100%.  As for Wade all you have to do is go back in history, where was he before Mart and what happened to the shareholders on his previous deal, they got left holding the bag.  As for Mart I have been on this one a long time, longer then I should be, in fact I have been on this one since the start.  missed alot of opportunities.  Hopefully we don't get left to be bag holders.  But on this one Wade will get things spiinning shortly and get everyone ready for the AGM, you can't let the cat out of the bag too soon.  I believe the divy is safe and I also expects some delays, things are not lining up like I would like to see them.  Wade does not have a very good history of taking a new drilling rig and getting it to work right off the bat, I don't see the second drill working until next year.  time will tell, and yes Wade will get us all to hang in there with the Divy.  It should be an interesting couple of weeks ahead.  Burlyone

Yah its a great post by both you and Spanky.....lol......By looking at your Stockhouse portfolio listings perhaps you both should look in the Mirror before you judge others....Good thing for Wade and Mart Resources or you guys would be lining up at the Food Bank with all your losers....... Its your biggest gainer and your questioning the credibilty of the Man running a Company producing over ...more

BillytheKid, you know there was a time when I actually did think I would become a ward of the goverment because in 2009 when the market collapsed I almost lost everything, but since then I have done very well.  But I think the point of the discussion is invest only what you can afford to loose, because anything can happen to your investment in Nigeria.  What you have been told ...more

Wade looks after Wade.  Well, Wade has aligned his interests with the shareholders as far as I can see.  I don't see a track record of generous options or anything like that.  He holds a lot of shares and has run the company well.  You can't blame Wade for a force majeure weather incident.  I would like news on the dividend, but that isn't Wade's ...more

Absolutely right on the money. He is aligned, unlike most CEO's who are there simply for salary and options. Even if a dividend is skipped, the yield on 15 cents, at these prices,  is still north of 10%. And, given their track record, short as it is, they may well make it up in a subsequent quarter once new production flows and the cash position is restored. Remeber it is still less than ...more

Hi terroir:  Well what you said is very logical but the market does not think along those lines.  If you take out MMT's dividend SP will undoubtedly be punished further!  All those ones invest in MMT for the dividend will just dump the shares and leave, increasing the downward spiral momentum.  It would have the same effect as CEN for issuing the NR on missing guidance ...more

I would only counter to your point, we might go alittle bit lower but most who chase dividends are long gone, they left when the share price started it's downward trend.  The dividend is nice but UMU oil field is the prize, super low decline rates after multiple years pumping and they are still expanding the field.  I still believe they have more than enough cash to continue to pay ...more
