Why is price dropping?

If Mart has a cash offer for $.80 cents a share,  why is the price still at $.57 cents? What am I missing here?

Market believes the deal may not get done as our potential buyers may not obtain the financing. Also market believes it's still risky and upside might not be there.   Do your DD. Seems like an easy return, but not everything is what it seems.

Thank you Ronaldo,   I appreciate your comments.  I decided to take a small postion, even if this deals doesn't go thru I believe this stock is undervalued.

An offer for the company has been made at 80 cents. This mean the company is valued at least at $.80/share. Some on BNN are even saying 1.25. The fact that it is trading in the 50-60 cent range is completely irrational because the 80 cent price didn't come from thin air. Much work was done to arrive at that price, which to some here still appears grossly unfair which I can understand. Even if ...more

Unless the offer is just fluff, designed to get retail shmoes to buy 'undervalued' shares. No deal has been signed as of yet and is contingent on other factors. Also, BNN = manipulative in their presentation of the news and always have ulterior motives Base your decision to buy/sell on POO

I expect the deal will happen because management wants it. Management is getting paid.  The lower the price means the buyer can buy shares cheaper and the better the deal looks.  The price of oil is going down and without the deal we be looking at the .40. cents SP. Oil  will probable be at it lowest around the  time  of the closing  off the deal.  This wiill ...more
