Don't forget Andy Sheldon

Don't forget Andy SheldonThis is what we wrote in our letter back in March 2008 on Andy Sheldon the CEO.

"
People

Andy Sheldon, President and CEO has had a long career in biotech, in particular he has years of experience bringing vaccines to market. He is a well known and respected figure in the industry. Mr. Sheldon got BioChem Pharma (who merged with Shire Biologics, an $11B Mcap company, in 2000) their one and only FDA approval. In the past he successfully negotiated the annual and pandemic contract with the federal and provincial governments.

At Medicago he has focused the company on developing a pipeline of products, and producing vaccines for H5N1 Avian Influenza ("Bird Flu"), and Seasonal Influenza. He has leveraged his experience and contacts to bring large corporations (Fortune 100), International non-profit organizations and others to the table and establish partnerships with them. Furthermore, he has been able to secure research money, and take the company to the international platform. His leadership will be invaluable in taking the company to the next level, once the product is into clinical trials. "
