Now if or when H1N1 mutates the traditional vaccines are going to be useless and the egg based manufacturers will not be able to make new vaccine fast enough (takes 4-6 months min sometimes up to 9months).
If the mutation is more lethal in the 3rd or 4th waves then companies that can produce vaccine quickly will be fast tracked. NVAX is one, MDG is another.
As long as you have safety trials you are in a position to be fast tracked.
