Pandora, I agree it's a little complex but, after digging around some, it appears in essence, to give it a quick snapshot perspective, that the Global Protein Therapeutics Market could get to a US$143 Billion Market by 2015. This, according to an article on the Before It's News website that mentions a new research report by RNCOS.

It would appear, as I understand it, that Biosimilars have made an entry into that market and that according to another research report mentioned on the the RNCOS website, the biosimilars industry has been growing fast across the globe for the past few years.
