Enlighten Me
Very basic questions: The stock price is ~10 cents Usd, the market capitalization is low If Mdlnf is sitting on valuable assets with over 1 million acres under its control 1. What has prevented Shell, Bp,Exxon, Chevron, Ypf or any other major from buying it out for speculative purposes especially since a buyout transaction like this would not move the needle on their balance sheets and would show up in their cents column? 2. How come a buyout has not already happened if the aforementioned is true??

Many folks have acerage in the Vaca Muerta and for now are focused on developing their own assets. Also, the company is not for sale today. Company is focused on developing its assets and doing a farmout deal on Curamheuele.

The company does not have to be for sale for it to be approached even if you have a 20% interest. At the right price, you would be sellers even if the bid is hostile. Again, the majors have so much money they could secure mdlnf for "free" assuming they deemed there was significant value.
