They still are drilling, Front page photo

As someone here pointed out https://www.metanor.ca/en/ shows a drill rig going yesterday and @11AM

User image

This is interesting.  They realize investors are wondering why in 31 days there has been no report or followup.  No one has any idea how deep they are going.   I do have inquiry in on that regard.

The picture is quite revealing.   Ron told me the vein appears to run under tailings pond, sure enough, see it?  And it drives home how the "Surprise Vein" is so darn close to the mill, pure luck.

If the rig shows the drill path which I think it might, its about 40-45 degrees.

Can deduct one good thing out of all this.  Its been 31 days, they know people are scratching heads over lack of drill results, so on front page they show the drilling in progress 30 days later.  Why would the do that if the news will be bad?  That would be really stupid, they would try and downplay the discovery, instead of headline it.

If the misguessed the strike, it is possible they missed it, hence Why I would have gone shallow first, as in 50 meters offset on strike and 50 meters deep.  It would take a couple of days to miss not a month.

The results of the drilling can make MEAOF worth 3X?, 5X?  more.  Outside of a drug trail for a one drug company, this is as important news as it gets.  It will be what it is.

Cheers

Thanks Dutch, as Confucious said, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Drilling on both side of the vein means to me that they lost the vein. There is a fault some where.
Comment by Geodan2 on Oct 22, 2015 4:47pm
If they drilled it nearby it is hard to miss.  The indication I got from Ron is that they had 2 rigs on both sides from the beginning.  That neither was at target last week.   But on a single hole surprise, its hard to really tell it could  be a 5 meter vein they drilled semi parallel, true width and drill width can be very different. As mentioned I would have offset 50 meters ...more

No Fluke on this one from the NR on Sept 22 nd... Initially, hole MO-15-08 was drilled in August. See the attached plan for the collar location. Following the results obtained from this first hole, a geophysical survey using a hole to hole - Induced polarization (H2H IP) method was conducted in the first hole, and indicated a large anomaly in the area. A second surface drill rig was brought in ...more

Hi Bob,   Good to point out anomalies again, it is further evidence of a large deposit,  Analysts do not understand these things, They need to see the results in the Qs to react.  Hence why they missed CLGRF until  9 months after Santoy Gap was opened up.

Hi Lite,   From what Ron told me they brought in another one after that PR, so 3 total, original one contunued, 2 new from opposite sides.  Checked Ron's background it is financial not technical, so he may be misunderstanding what he is being told.  "the second rig will continue to drill around this hole MO-15-14 to complete a series of short holes" That is ...more

This actually worries me ,and I'm sure, others. Far too often, when drill results are disappointing they just keep going deeper hoping for better results. If the core looks good, they pinch it off, send it for assays, the continue deeper. I have enough shares to consider lightening up before any news breaks. Fingers crossed at this point, I'm staying loaded.

there could be a fault, then there is also the pond. this could take a while longer. relax!

It could be a fault heh? Sure so please outline your geological credentials. Je suis tres curieux

IMHO the NR will be released only after RP returns from his Europe trip............he is over there for a reason.......don't yah think...mmmmmm

The picture is revealing indeed, it shows a rig that we are not sure if it is drilling, broken down etc. Youa re right though the dip appears to be about 45 degrees which would insinuate a steeply dipping near vertical vein as the target. Ergo you need many pierce points on said vein. Then there is the nugget effect which is insanely notorious in the Abitibi... so I assume they missed due to the ...more

Wits, I am coming to conclusion that Ronald may not have understood what the drillers told him, like you that more than one hole per rig almost for sure has been drilled by now.  Sounds like you may have experience in core drilling? We will find out why the drill results PR has been so slow, whatever the reason.  They set an expectation of much faster news with the original PR.   ...more

Short holes take 2 to 3 days depending on the competency of the rock, ability of the driller and how much of a P-O-S the rig is lol. Then factor in the dearth of drilling and the labs can have results out in a week.... basically it says they missed the original results. Then that begs key questions such as did they "accidentally" drill down dip of a structure and not across it? Common in ...more

Witsguy: I think you're right. The first two holes were drill down dip of the vein and not across it. That is why you have such a large thickness. These two holes were drilled to the north east and if you look at the picture the rig is placed to drill to the southwest. In this direction it will cut the vein.
Comment by romara on Oct 22, 2015 11:08pm
How in hell can you tell which is northeast, or southwest by a picture...get real..... Richard
Comment by Matagami on Oct 23, 2015 9:02am
romara: if you look at this picture https://media3.marketwire.com/docs/1026003_Fig.jpg. you will see that the discovery hole has been drilled to the northeast and if you look at the phot you will see that the drill is oriented in opposite direction
Comment by romara on Oct 23, 2015 10:44am
Could be.... but by the looks of the trees, and the ground .... it's mid winter.... not mid October. I really think that a stock company photo probably taken last year

The photo is date and time stamped. If it is a stock photo, dating it 10/21/15 is tanamount to fraud. I don't think management would expose themselves like that.
Comment by Geodan2 on Oct 23, 2015 1:11pm
Agree with Hard and Lite, it would be fraud, and  there is no motive to do so, and everything in pic matches what Ron said.
Comment by Highwired7 on Oct 23, 2015 7:16am
If you Google Earth for  Desmaraisville mine, you can make out the orientation of the mill in the background of of picture. It looks to me like the drill rig is angling down toward the NE.
