The bigger picture.

It should be pretty clear by now that the initial rise in the share price off the lows in Jan through to the top in Feb of this year came down to two things: the rise in gold and silver and word that sprott was buying due to the moroy 'discovery'.

Given that the high for the year occured in only 2 months of trading and then began to fall even as the rest of the sector rose for the next 5 moths straight even the most slow witted should have realized by now that they are barking up the wrong tree.

All of those that continue to ridicule the 'non shareholders' (never mind that we were shareholders previously) should stop and think about who really has is backwards here.

From wild price predictions to 'crazy cheap at .08' to nonsensical, way out there ramblings to obsessions with farts and assclowns (closet homo?).  Every one of you mock and ridicule the ones who got it right.

Something to think about.

Oops.  Meant top in march, not feb.

mstettler, while most were digging in their heels here, I was unloading some and moving to MXSG at .07-.08. Now, while they are not yet producing, the stock has risen to .20 based on a first pour sometime in mid-late December. Where it goes after that, I have no clue. What I did know was that this company would lose money. That is the trend. Management got paid, all is good. If only someone would ...more

There are plenty of people on this board who said the .08 is crazy cheap and .07 is a gift.  They were eager to load up back then so they should be eager to take it at those prices now.

I did take a look at MXSG, shares outstanding 486.35 million, and not producing yet. It would appear your going from the frying pan into the fire.

I think the enthusiasm is based on gold available with low AISC and good management. But, that will not keep me from taking some cash off the table.  T

I didn't look at AISC. My theory on producers is they are depleting their reserves because they have no choice. Big money gets cheap gold, investors who paid for the mine, get next to nothing. Should gold ever spike, the low hanging fruit is gone. I am down to two exploration companies sitting on the fence line of a major producer with gold in the ground. Continually issuing shares and ...more

BD4U, "Continually issuing shares and depleting investors gold in the ground, IMO, makes no sense." Are you referring to Metanor or the two exploration companies or MXSG?  I am waiting for first pour and will evaluate from there. Obviously I feel better about a Teranga or Mandalay, but MXSG could be a 5-10 bagger with some good PRs. That is something we aren't getting here from ...more

I am referring to Metenor, but in my opinion, applies to most miners. I really haven't researched MXSG, just looked at the share count. After owning Metenor and taking a loss a few months, I now realize how important share count is and even good news can have little impact.

BD4U, absolutely share count is important. Every penny move makes a big difference in market cap when you have large amount of shares out. It also makes it harder to move up when so many shares are out. I have an entire segment of my portfolio devoted to low float stocks. When something good happens they can make really nice moves up. Of course, you need to find them when they are at low ...more

Thanks for that, Teranga Gold looks interesting and I will be taking a closer look when I have time. Don't mean to go off topic but not much to talk about regarding Metenor.
