RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:The bigger picture.BD4U, absolutely share count is important. Every penny move makes a big difference in market cap when you have large amount of shares out. It also makes it harder to move up when so many shares are out. I have an entire segment of my portfolio devoted to low float stocks. When something good happens they can make really nice moves up. Of course, you need to find them when they are at low valuations. Take a look at ACY. Profitable, book value over 20 trading at 9. Large insider ownership. Couple others to look at are CSTI, CCOM and SIMA. Last one is what they call dark. They don't issue many press releases and so not many follow. But, the valuations are incredible. Eventually will go private or get bought out.
Too many people look at only price or shares out, but they need to be looked at relevant to market cap versus revenues. Book value should also be included. My gripe with Metanor is with management and all in costs. If they don't get costs down losses will continue. And now with gold price down it makes it harder to get to break even. That is why MXSG with their low costs have a chance at profits sooner. Also, TPRFF has very low cost, but their problem is convertables debentures. But, IMO, that is why the stock is so low right now. No one knows how many shares will end up out. But at today's price it doesn't matter if all get converted, they are undervalued based on revenues.
