RE:RE:COP unveils a 10 well programHi Glacierman:  Once again thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I reviewed the application and I am not sure that I agree with you about Bear Island.  They did not want to build an all weather road to Bear Island which is on Shell's land.  Rather they wanted to conduct geothechnical surveys to see if there is gravel there.  Since Shell doesn't own the gravel rights, Shell doesn't have any part in this. 

COP has since decided not to look for gravel on Bear Island. 

Having said that Shell and Imperial, both have to get moving as their lands expire in June 2016/17.  Together they have 5 blocks and Shell shares 3 blocks with MGM.  All of these are undrilled.  If they drill they can get a 4 year extension.
