The CleanTechEdge

Sept 18 2014 , Ross Beaty spoke at TheCleanTechEdge. He spoke of us needing a carbon tax, and that his trips around the world support the peoples want for this change. I think he will get his carbon tax in 2016, though I wish it could be now. If you haven't seen it..... https://www.davidsuzuki.org/issues/climate-change/projects/the-cleantech-edge-canadas-fastest-growing-industry-in-the-age-of-climate-change/ . I find it very impressive that a rich powerful person takes the time to do such things. Hats off to Mr. Beaty.

Those were transaction carried out privately. So I assume somebody or something (a company) close to Mr. Beatty bought those shares - maybe this was just a possibility to get some money out of a company or so... I do not think he sold for a 200k gain but just "reorganized" his holding in the company as I do not assume he will give up his 34.something% share which enables him to block ...more

Renewables is the fastest growing sector with exponential potential. This brings about a lot of politics. I don't see it as a cash grab , he could easily sell a package higher. He basically moved shares to who he wanted. The next event I am waiting on is a greenbriar asset sale, beginning of feb, and Alterra is involved. My first instinct was to connect the two. Or, he could have scooped them ...more
