don't trust my math but i believe there would be approx 0.00043 kg of vanadium per 1 kg of coke....which would be about 45 million kg of vanadium in the petcoke waste of Alberta. $35 per kg is about $ 1.5 billion worth. the cost side of things is unknown but given that almost all the supply comes from China and Russia there is some interesting potential here.
