MINES NEARBY - DOLOMTITE - SPHALERITE ( ZINC )

MINES NEARBY - DOLOMTITE - SPHALERITE ( ZINC )The town Windemere is located at the base of Mt Nelson.
If looking on a map - Mt Nelson would be on the left, and a string of towns dot the valley, in which one of them is named Windemere.

To the right side of Windemere, opposite of Mt Nelson, but still very close,
Are several former mines that  have remarkablely similar - layered - dolomites.

What's so great about these former depoists ?
They host - sphalerite.
ZINC.

I thought zincs in the color purple and pink were amazing.
This report expands on the colors of sphlaterite found in the dolomites.

Blacks
Browns
Yellows
Oranges ( zinc repleces the cadium )

What did MGX focus on ?
Just Magnesite at deeper depths.
A clean ( non dolomite ) magnesite.
Our dolos need further assaying - i;d say.

What ore has not really seen a good assaying ?
The dolomites.

What is there more of ?
Dolomites.

I implore others to read rthis - report - it's an eye opener.
Another Report -  i'm reading right now, discusses signs of molybdenum on Mt Nelson.
Butr.. .let's stick to the subject at hand - sphalerite.
Yes... i've seen this silly word ( sphalerite ) spelled two diff ways...

GEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF CANADA OPEN FILE 8410 Geology and petrography of selected carbonate-hosted Zn-Pb deposits of the southeastern Cordillera, British Columbia and Alberta N.

Keep in mind... these are - carbonate ore bodies - dolos - with - zinc.
Perfect comparison.

MAP - PAGE - 6 -
Zero in on the towns Radium and Windemere -
I figure Mt Nelson is in approximation to - the round pink colored circle - letter ( a ) in the word,
anticlinorium -

PAGE - 8 -
Compares the stratigraphy of - Purcell group to Rocy Mountains
Same geology - dolos - just different layering.
Good comparision.
Very comparable to - Mt Nelson.
Just diff sequencing - understandable - sedimentry sheets layered differently.

Shale  argillite
Argillaceous  Carbonate
Carbonate
Gypsum beds
Sandstone, pebble conglomerate
Conglomerate

PAGE - 9 -
Shag deposit - across from Mt Nelson.

Shag Deposit The Shag deposit consists of seventeen Zn-Pb (±Ag)
showings in Middle to Upper Cambrian carbonate rocks (Jensen, 1991). This deposit was discovered in 1977 by Rio Tinto Canadian Exploration Ltd. under the ‘Graf Lead-Zinc Reconnaissance Program’

What mine is beside Driftwood ?
Lead -  zinc - silver... mine.
Paradise.

Great petrography photos -
Shows the statigraphy lenses of several successions of dolos.
Nelson carbonate dolomintes - need more attention.
How could a geo not check for zinc - if Parasise Mine - is right aside of, Driftwood  ?
Lab tests were ultra exclusive - only specific minerals were assyed for.

Cheers....
