GM MGX M --- How are things doing here ?
Well I have been asked this question by investors and here is my position. It is sad to see JL give up and walk away if that is infact what he is doing. He is a young person mentored by a excellent person in the Vancouver area who happened to be his step father. Giving up is not in JL's character and so I will wait an see what happens.
MGX M needs a strong leader who has the support of investors and who can make bold moves. JL was that person but he lost the support of many (not all) the investors in MGX M. Now just where do we find a new leader. The dissident investors do not have enough votes to elect their named people to the board. JL has too many votes, his and his family, to be dislodged from the board. Joke's about his mother just do not cut it.
Who has the power to put a good board in place. Do David Hodge have enough investors in his group (business friends) and with Zimtu, who own enough of MGX M shares to put a board supported by Mr. Hodge in place. We will not see Mr. Hodge himself on the board of MGX M as this would be in conflict with the Seat he has on the Board of Zinc8. This conflict is the reason Lyndon Patrick (a Hodge man) stepped down from the board of Zinc8. This is manovering to stack the board at MGX M. Patrick Powers another Zimtu man is now CEO and is on the board of MGX M. AK and JL cannot be dislodged as they have too many shares and work together.
The key to what is going to happen on the Board of MGX M, is who is going to be the 5th member of the board. I find this very intersting and await the AGM materials. Mr Powers has not been very active after having been made CEO and we will have to see if he stays and really takes charge.
Will a new board be a good thing. Yes !! for we investors, a change is needed to get this company going again. I sincerely hope we are able to put togelther a good board this time.
Now about MGX M projects: Gold maybe the focus in the near term, but this does not mean that the other projects are dead and with out value. David Bromley is still working at PurLucid and trying to make the Sagd plant work. His work has been excelent for the past 40 years and I do not see him failing at this time. More work is required on the PurLucid treatment systems as we know the system now. It is in the Model T stage and will have to be developed to the 2020 Lincoln stage. It workds well but can be developed to work much better. Driftwood is still the best MG project in the Americas and maybe world wide. It is still world class and will go forward when the right time comes. This is a long term project and is on hold until at least Bay mag reaches the end of their mine life. The Silica projects are also good solid mineing projects and will go foward when existing nearby resources now being mined run out. Fran is a interesting small project that requires modern specialized mining equipment to be mined successfullyl other wise it is too expensive for conventional mining methods. This too is project long term and will eventually pay off.
Where do we go from here? Good question. I think the answer is UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!
