LITHIUM BORATE ( ICP ES = Nitric Acid )

Was reading up on Borates, Monzanites, Phosphates = uranium, thorium.
Decided to pull forward the Klewchuk assays @ Driftwood 2001.

What i found interesting was, lithium borate fusion assaying with nitric acid and
LOI = CO2 content.  ( upon heating for deadburn value.

Here's my best poke at the subject;
Lithium borate fusion + heat + ore specimen = fuses borate lithium with minerals.
U or Th could / would swap out with say... uranium phosphate, monzanite thorium
= borate bonding with, U, Th  ( borates are known for these U bonds )

Introduce Nitric acid
= uranyl nitrates even hydroxide uranyls

Heating over 1000 degrees results in decomposition

Nitric Acid upon heating
When nitric acid is heated,
it decomposes to form nitrogen dioxide gas, oxygen gas, and liquid water.

CO2 from magnesite ( gas )
Nitrogen dioxide ( gas )

Question becomes,
would any Uranyls go up in smoke too ? ( gas )

Nitric acid is a salt
If U's or Th's were present would they have a chance of, detection with such
a format ?  Would they go up in gases or alloy with the Mg ?

Online search
UO2(NO3)2·6H2O transforms into UO3 in eight main stages in the 40–300°C

Not much heat needed.  ( lead species )

Bottom of assay
NOTE  C & S not included in SUM  ( i'll assume total mineral content )

C = carbon gas
S = salt ? Solution values ?  was solution values separated ?

Pretty fancy smanchy assay tests for simple magnesite.
Yet... would the nitric facilitate with firing = decomposition to gases or alloy melt with Mg ?
