Now I am only 50% from my purchase last summer. I should have had the guts to double down when it was at .70 but I did not...obviously, with hindsight, it is always easier. There was little disclosure from the firm and as much as they were surely renegotiating terms with PSK, the announcement surpassed my best expectations. The acquisition was also a plus. Very nice metrics...buy low, sell high...so few companies have been buying of late.
If you want to check out a small company with a very nice track record and making bolt-on acquisitions in this downturn, go and check LNREF (Lonestar Resources)...an Australian firm (!) operating mostly out of the EagleFord. They have made all the right moves and should be repriced accordingly over time.
As for Manitok, I might actually add to my position today. We definitely have some game-chaning news today and I am actually more comfortable buying at $1.40 with the news out than $.70 with all the uncertainty. Call me risk-averse...
