Mr. Peter Brown reports

MONTELLO ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR

Montello Resources Ltd. has appointed Fredrick Omorogbe as a director. Mr. Gerald Lefevre is stepping down as Director effective immediately in his favour so that the Company can benefit from Fredrick's O&G expertise in anticipation of spring work projects commencing at Pincher Creek. Montello wishes to thank Mr. Lefevre for his continuing loyalty to Montello as he has agreed to join new CFO Dallas Sader, Independent Director Fred Hill, and Corporate Secretary Laara Shaffer on a newly-formed Advisory Board initially tasked with cleaning up outstanding corporate accounting and filing matters necessary to qualify Montello for reinstatement of trading. We greatly appreciate Mr. Lefevre's help in providing critical historical context for the task ahead.

Mr. Omorogbe is a Senior Project Manager acting on behalf of various participant(s) in the Western Canada Energy & Utility Field. He has been responsible for managing a number of capital projects and generation assets. Fredrick has also worked with National Oil Companies in Africa to develop and benchmark refinery operations there. Fredrick holds his Certificates in Unconventional Petroleum and Upstream Petroleum Industries from SAIT Polytechnic in Alberta as well as a Business Admin Diploma and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Regina besides being a PMP Project Management Professional from PMI, USA.

Montello, in co-operation with its Pincher Creek Project JV Partners, announced that mobilization would commence at the 1-11-004-29W4 Well on January 16, 2014. Over the past few years there have been a number of delays and discussions between JV Partners, various government entities, service providers, and landholders to resolve issues allowing for re-entry of the 1-11 well at Pincher Creek. The recruitment of an operations specialist like Frederick Omorogbe alongside fellow independent director Mr. Fred Hill, who also has extensive O&G infrastructure and environmental experience, is crucial for putting Montello's best interests forward in association with its Joint Venture Partners at Pincher Creek. Messrs. Omorogbe and Hill provide extremely capable and competent oversight expertise for the benefit of all the JV Partners given expected building and maintenance of infrastructure for the 1-11 discovery well and beyond. The Company looks forward to providing further updates going forward.

We seek Safe Harbor.
