Successful Junior Companies

Successful Junior CompaniesGold makes headlines again and Junior mining stocks rise from ashes By Christine Eccleston 27 Sep 2005 at 10:38 AM Gold is making headlines again these days due to 18 year highs and Junior mining stocks are showing remarkable strength. But unfortunately, according to Goldseek.com, not all juniors are participating in this current bull run. The juniors that are, however, are the ones making incredibly profitable discoveries. “If you are lucky enough to buy into an exploration company that makes a discovery, you can effectively buy your own auto teller machine. Some of these things are just phenomenally profitable,” John Bridge, a senior gold analyst at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co, said in the Wall Street Journal. Successful junior companies 2000-2005: 1 - Augusta Resources 7000%+ 2 - Silvercorp Metals 5000%+ 3 - Messina Minerals 4000%+ 4 - Northern Dynasty Mining 3500%+ 5 - Gammon Lake Resources 3400%+ The reason why new discoveries are so important for the industry is that the major producers simply can’t replace their mined reserves. In order to replace those mined reserves they simply have to buy them. That’s why major producers are showing more and more interest in junior mining companies. This chart from an updated Gold Drivers Report clearly shows that companies in their discovery phase do experience their greatest appreciation, but what this chart shows as well is that only one out of every 1000 projects will make it to a mine. Obviously those investors who invested during the exploration phase are better off, but investors who got in upon discovery didn’t do badly at all. Even investing within two days after a discovery announcement could still be very rewarding--there are many examples in which an average share gain of more then 1000% has been realized after the publication of main discoveries. https://www.resourceinvestor.com/pebble.asp?relid=13196
