Monitise (LSE: MONI), a global leader in Mobile Money solutions, has been named winner of the 'Best Merger or Acquisition' category at the Future Payments and Digital Banking Awards in recognition of its acquisition of Turkish Mobile Money innovator Pozitron .
The winners were announced last night at the Future Payments and Digital Banking Awards in London, which seek to recognise excellence in the European payments industry. For the Best Merger or Acquisition category, judges were looking for an example of a financially successful acquisition that had fundamentally changed the nature of the organisation's business and/or market position and provided significant future opportunities to the business.
