These individuals are the very bottom of the barrel scum that make money through crookery.
I ask that you all go onto STOCKWATCH.COM and continually refresh MVMD quotes.
They are delayed quotes but you will see the names of buyers and sellers. ANONYMOUS is always the culprit along with a few others.
Do it on any given day and you will see that same brokerage houses buying at one point and selling at another. These are shorters. No Ifs Ands or Buts.
They will place a large order to cover at a certain price well below the current and then push the stock down to that level by constant (naked shorting) selling.
It is the same rinse and repeat cycle. They try to keep it under whole numbers or half numbers and then will drop it just below these pivotal points before day end.
ie. if they get it below .45 then they will attempt .40.
Recently it was down below .38. These shorters will again attempt to get it below the .40 and lets see what happens as this was the price range before the last big (temporary) move up.
Watch the price action and the brokerage houses and you will see how they destory small cap stocks.
