To my understandingfirst - rock9000 is for sure no tax expert *lol*
Apogee Bolivia is a Bolivian entity and a subsidiary of Apogee Minerals (Canadian Entity). There is no dividend tax applied according to Bolivian tax laxs and even if dividend tax would be applied it is not 12.5% of the income but based on the amount that is dividende out.
To my understanding we still have the base corporate tax of 25% + a variable tax level depending on the price of commodities. Let'S have a look. Currently Apogee Bolivia would be charged 25%+11.15% fpr silver, + 9.75% for Zinc and so on. At some commodity price a cap applies and the additional tax is 20% (45% in total). So we've a tax rate of something between 35% and 45%. Given the cheap cost of labour and other services in Bolivia and given the dependence on commodity prices the proposal seems quite fair to me.
My Spanish is not that good, so please forgive me if I made a mistake.
