RE:Things are looking bleak
Probability is that your child and your family will be just fine and I think you know that. (make no mistake that that is my sincere hope for you!).. you are focused, as we all are, on the reality that this throws an unremovable monkey wrench into our society and the answers being offered so far don't address the problem well enough. One thing that always helps in any difficult situation is direct knowledge of the threat and that, to me, is where the value of the Biocloud technology comes in.
It isn't that big a deal... it won't solve the problem. It is simply a product someone came up with that can be installed and let an organization know if the virus is present in the air. And, all things considered, the cost isn't that high. So I'm betting they will sell in good numbers and we will all make a profit on our investment. And it wll help. But normal has always been deteriorating and no-one can help with that.
Ultimately their is a new virus in the ecosystem of our planet that we have to live with forever... how do we do that? We start with every prudent reaction possible. It is okay if there isn't a fanfare or mediablitz if people just buy them. People still doubt Elon Musk for crying out loud but he has rockets and Teslas are everywhere. You can't stop what makes the most sense.
