RE:The only caveat is the cautionary part of the NRUm, well, hmmm.... when someone presciently suggested the redesign to use less circuit boards was a response to the chip shortage you may have read that and thought: "yum, potato chips". Otherwise I would expect you, John Pointer the exalted one, and your many high minded friends (aliases?) would have seen this revelation coming. Heck you consider yourself so integral I don't see why you weren't proactively demanding PG be personal shopping for new sources a long time ago.

Now, I don't think I was first to suggest the chip shortage was impacting us way back when (more than a month ago it seems). And I won't credit myself with any extra abilities just becuase I was able to recognize that the reduced boards was most likely an adaptation in response to that. Nah, giving oneself too much credit is something and engineer would do.
