Sales not the problem

I have no doubt they will get sales, the main thing is when they get the patent.
Comment by Mazz45 on Nov 21, 2020 10:18pm
Agreed!  Would be great if Kontrol hits their target of November... 6 more business days to Nov 30!

He hasn't been making promises. He's been saying, this is what we're doing, and these are our projected timelines. Paul and his team have been nailing them.
Comment by wilander on Nov 22, 2020 10:06am
We get it John.  You are a short or looking to try and get in lower. We get it. Getting close to being put on the ignore list for the bashing.
Comment by Sarkazoo on Nov 22, 2020 10:21am
this drop in share price was due to the fact that they aren't in schools by now which management stated would happen in November. They can still recover by achieving those sales but until then it'll keep going down. I can respect the effort and difficulties they might be working through but don't make public claims like "in schools for November" unless you are 100% sure it ...more

I have never heard that they "will be in schools in November". They said they will start shipping product in November. Period. Next sentence, suitable market includes schools, hospitals, mass transit and some generic description to size and occupancy of space. Period. You can put the two together into the same sentence, but is an interpretation they did not so categorically characterize, ...more

https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/canadian-technology-to-detect-covid-19-in-the-air-839824095.html You were saying? Gary Saunders, VP of Kontrol, confirms that supply chains for the technology are already prepped to deliver tens of thousands of units monthly. "We are thrilled to have our hard work validated in the lab with a fully-tested detection chamber that can be moved quickly to ...more

I'm thinking a lot of folks invested in KNR have poor comprehension. So many on this board and other boards are holding the company hostage based on their poor interpretation of past news releases. Not once, in any of the news releases has Paul or Gary stated that biocloud would absolutely be in schools by November. In reference to the previous post by sarkazoo. Gary states that they " ...more

I was wrong. Paul's communication stands out in my mind. I think they found out that it would not be governments making purchases on behalf of schools so it is not easy the get throug the system. Maybe individual boards or private schools, but the nr says "by November". So, I stand corrected.
Comment by Mazz45 on Nov 22, 2020 12:35pm
Government order will come whether its provincial or federal.  If not now in the coming weeks or months and at a minimum hospitals and Long Term Care facilities... schools and transportation are also possible. we will get both private and public sector purchases. However if you are looking for validation of the technology, a private sector purchase that scrutinized spend validates ...more

The thing that worries me about long-term care homes is that covid has exposed how many of them are run by basically greedy criminals who have no regard for the care of the residents but see them basically as defenseless cash cows -- and governments are doing nothing to change that.  Cockroaches in food, peeling paint on the walls, inadequate staffing, outright lying, etc.  More like ...more

The gov't shouldn;t give them a choice.  Mandate that they are installed or they get shut down.   These places need MAJOR fixing and need to be constantly watched/regulated.
Comment by Mazz45 on Nov 22, 2020 1:22pm
Agreed on all points. I do hope for some more decency though on the LTC facilities...  the best promotion though will come for example when the news hits - example "Air Canada to install Covid detection in all 400 airplanes" to keep travellers safe and identify Covid in flights to minimize spread. Will cost them a measly $4-5M and now you have a competitive advantage and the other ...more

John although I think they will end up there, that's not the point I was trying to make. The point is that a press release with a high profile company installing BioCloud will do more for PR of BioCloud then any PR company or Kontrol can do. Sadly the vaccine is great and hopefully it works forever and not for 6 months... but we aren't out of the woods until at best 2022!

Mazz without reading this post I had already confirmed your meaning was clear.
Comment by Mazz45 on Nov 22, 2020 2:17pm
Thanks for confirming becool.  And to frank, if Air Canada or another big name was say an initial first or one of the initial first big sales and i was PG, I'd compromise margin for that order just for the public relations boom that would result and follow on orders it would drive. Its getting exciting!!!
Comment by wilander on Nov 22, 2020 1:38pm
ohhhh yes they are basher john!!!! Any flight over an hour and you get an assurance no passengers on a plane has covid. And if there is a positive result, everyone is rapid tested on arrival AND 100% contact traced upon landing. It is freaking perfection!!!

Whoah, language sir... Not that outlandish (if lower probability due to cost and already top HVAC/purifying equipment on board) and not the central point of the comment. It's an example industry/install. It could be a government sale or otherwise. Still, point is big sale big promo. Difference between differing point-of-view and flat out negativity (if not flat out grumpiness...). As always ...more

It's hard to imagine that teachers who know about BioCloud (or presumably their unions if they are public) aren't being extremely vocal to their respective Principals/Boards.  I agree that major sales could come from any number of institutional sources (public or private) and the initial installs (and exposure and all-important 'proof-of-concept' that they will provide) will ...more

And all the more reason for each of us to contact YOUR schoolbard and ask WHY these arent going into your schools to protect the teachers and children when they return after the christmas break. 1. Adds pressure. 2. Alerts them to the product if they are unaware of it.   (most likely) 3.  Can't hurt!

Wilander your comments make tons of sense.
Comment by BeCool2 on Nov 22, 2020 2:26pm
Great place here for everyone to chit-chat amongst ourselves for 'mutual edification'. Wilander is perhaps the only person here who is truly [correctly] focused on results and the end-game. He knows what he's talking about folks.
Comment by cactuseskimo on Nov 22, 2020 3:51pm
Haha. Right. While I respect Wilander's opinion, and the points he's making are certainly good food for thought, stating "he knows what he's talking about" comes across as blatant homerism. What qualifies him, or for that matter - you, to make a statement like that? Do you know Wilander personally? Do you know what he does for a living? Do you know his investment track record ...more

John, over decades of investing I cannot think of one case where everything panned out like communicated in some way. If that is how things go, we would all be invested in biggest winners and would never lose a penny. But I can think of a few cases where it was dishonest, a number of cases where it was irresponsible as in you gotta stop making predictions once you have missed handfuls and then ...more

I believe in some jurisdictions, one you file an application, you are patent pending and you have some protection. So, the key is to put together a strong application, send it in and get appropriate confirmation of receipt.
