Danny...proper DD does involve lots of ???It is often the questions that have been left unasked that are the most important.
And imo you also have to verify and double check facts because this is a constantly changing dynamic.
And if the questions that need answering in your opinion have not been covered..then YOU have every right to ask.
And yes updates are important.
THis is your money..so it is important to keep on top of what is going on, if you have any concerns etc.
And there are times when mgt may not be at liberty to divulge etc.
And you also need to know what questions to ask.
And if there is something that is frustrating to you...you may not be alone.
Since mgt has your money..they might as well also get your two cents worth...or concerns etc.
You are responsible for keeping on top of where your money is going..and how the project is progressing etc..esp if there has been silence..etc..or you have issues.
The main thing is to get the information out there.
And if there isnt a good info flow..this will also negatively impact on the shareprice..etc.
Management for this type of company are in my experience much more approachable than say... a blue chip.
And if they are too busy to handle investors questions usually they will have an IR person to do this, at least once the company starts to grow and it can be afforded.
And if info flow is an issue..and it will certainly be noticed re the SP dip..then see if you can get the info you need at least for yourself...
Analysts get to sit down with the BIG wigs to get the info they need..or atleast as much as wouldnt be considered insider. etc..
But here with MPE you are actually in an incredibly privileged position of being able to chat and email the ceo..and snr people just as you would if you were a wall street banker/analyst etc.
That is part of the draw at least for me. YOu do not get that immediacy...with a large well covered blue chip.
You are infact...exploring new ground,,with an exciting new venture..before it hits the radar. And it can be a very enriching intellectual journey..and hopefully at the end of the day..financially rewarding as well. At least that would be my take.
And YOUR voice will be heard by mgt in a way that it never would with a large BLUE chip...again to me very..very exciting.
