The hold up can't be from the RCMP unless there is someone of questionable history. From my understanding it is only a background and criminal check which typially takes less than a week if you were to walk in and request one.
They were waiting on security screening from one director who was located in Hong Kong. Since their submission, the director is no longer with the company. They have informed Health Canada and I believe it is this updated information that is delaying the process.
