I am a long, for 4 years. No problem with Newcrest as a company for me. Also, I am retiring shortly and my income will take a hit. Moving these shares from a non-dividend to a dividend category is a big help to me next year. It's just a low-ball offer. I don't think anyone offers $27 for it, unless gold spikes, but this offer is too low. I voted no.
