simply follow the three steps your broker had sent to you on your "Voting Instruction Form".
1. Mark on the voting material "Against", click on "Confirm" and continue to the next step. Do not click on the confusing text "Click here to attend a meeting and vote your shares in person." This will lead you into wrong direction, the meeting is anyway virtual due to Covid.
2. Confirm again and continue to the third step.
3. Fill in your control number, which your broker had sent to you. In my case, this control number was written in the email, which had attached thi "Voting Instruction Form". After the control number was filled in, click on "Submit".
These three steps will do it. In my case I received an email confirmation of my vote by the broker within less than an hour.
In any case of doubt how to make a valid vote, please just call your broker. Do not call any of these "advisers" paid by Pretium / Newcrest or even Pretium directly !
Forget about that "choice" in advance between Newcrest shares and cash. It is a smoke grenade they throw in to confuse us. In my brokers voting material called the "Voting Instruction Form" there was not any word about it. A normal shareholder who has his shares at a broker or bank is anyway a so called "beneficial shareholder" and not a "registered shareholder" !
