RE: technical stuff and mobile operator and ad age
There is something that I do not understand. If this technology 2d bar code works in Japan, why companies Mobikyo customers as Motorola, Roger, AT & T, Sprint or Nokia cellphone do not in North America?
I just don't understand.
One hand we have the Japanese who have already developed a
market for three years and who have major league cellphones as a customer.
and
on our side, we have a
pilot project run by NeuStar's where 3GVision Mobile are involve.
In this context, is it realistic to believe that NeuStar and Neomedia are likely to be part of the party in this market that seems already coveted by Japanese competition?
I just read the pdf posted by DrMike
"GS1 MobileCom Pilot Extended Packaging Handbook",
and I can see that I lack a lot of elements to understand something in this case because in the list of participants in this pilot you can still see the names of cell providers like AT & T and Nokia.
Well I understand that everyboby in this GS1 pilot lookup for find the way to implant and give standardization of the 2D bar code. Nice to see collaboration NeuStar content in there.
All that so huge
Unbelievable! All the big names from all sectors of application are involved in this pilot::
Wall Mart, Nestle, Oxford Brookes University, Best Buy, Pepsi, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble Co., Johnson & Johnson, to name only these . SCANBUY also participate!
As reported in this document,"
most modern mobile phones with basic camera function should be
able to read 2D barcodes provided a reader application that exists for mobile phone." page 52
So where is the place of Neomedia camera if such exists and all ready use in Japan?
Believe me, I don't play devil's advocate, but the fact Neomedia is an OTC 1billion shares prompts me to ask many questions. So the knowledge that there are already mobile scan and software all ready able to reading 2D bar code in Japanese Market made me ask more.
By the way, I think if I was the only one to ask these may be bad questions,
NEOMA would sit on the NASDAQ on a pillow filled with full cash.
Best regard
