RE:RE:Fmc just announced doubling its lithium production

RE:RE:Fmc just announced doubling its lithium production I will also add that Tianqi Lithium (in China) is also fully sold out. Actually not only are they sold out but they are selecting their customers, they used to sell mostly in the lubricants business, but now are barely even interested in lubricants and sell primarily to battery and pharmaceuticals (they are willing to pay more for the product). Tianqi is one of the biggest (if not biggest) in China, not sure how they compare to FMC but they are definetly huge. Since January, their price of LiOH has tripled and so has their stock (and still going strong). The net result is various companies scrambling for LiOH and Li2CO3 and not being able to source it anywhere. Tianqi has also let off rumors of expansion but has not confirmed or given solid details. Tianqi owns a small chunk of NMX and one of their VPs is on the board of directors.
