1) The remaining financing not going through is easily the biggest hurdle for Nemaska.
2) New, more efficient technology for rechargeable batteries does not require lithium. This is unlikely due to its position on the periodic table (lowest atomic number for a metal means for more efficient chemical reactions). I'm not a scientist, so do not ask me the details.
3) The cree community somehow goes back on their agreement to allow nemaska to produce lithium on their lands (also highly unlikely)
4) The mine does not possess anywhere near the estimated quantities
5) Some sort of general fraud
6) Nemaska defaults on its debt due to too many delays and goes bankrupt.
I can't really think of others.
