NOU.V grows and derisk its reource

NOU.V grows and derisk its reourceHere’s a good new among the stock market mayhem of the last two weeks.

NOU has grown its resource by 25% and they derisk it further by moving ~25M tonnes into the measured category.

If you guys believe that the Coronavirus’ impacts on the economy or the low gas prices will derail the EV revolution, some analyst have already voiced their opinion on the subject.

Adam Jonas of Morgan Stanley says Tesla is strong enough with its $8B in liquidity to last several months of near shutdown of operations.

Pierre Ferragu, an analyst at New Street says Tesla can survive 5 quarters with cash on hands.

The CEO of Volkwagen says VW is staying on track and plans to deliver 30,000 of its new EV this year.

This Covid-19 crisis makes it so obvious that supply chains must be a lot more localized near the end-consumers.  There is zero chance that the car and battery industries will allow China to become the sole provider of natural graphite used for making anode material for lithium-ion batteries.

With this announcement of its extensive graphite resource, Nouveau Monde is shaping up to become the biggest North American graphite mine able to provide for North American and European battery factories.

Beside batteries. NOU will also produce close 45 to 50% of jumbo and large flakes with a purity of up to 99% achieved by a simple crushing and flotation process.  That stuff enjoys the biggest margins in the traditional graphite market.
